Swine flu vaccine more available in some NC areas

READ MORE:
CHARLOTTE -- The swine flu vaccine is becoming more available in some areas of North Carolina. The Charlotte Observer reported that health departments in Mecklenburg, Cabarrus and Gaston counties will offer the vaccine to anyone who wants it, starting next week. Until now, limited vaccine supplies have been reserved for people at high risk for flu complications, including pregnant women, children and health care workers. Health officials say vaccine shipments have become more plentiful in recent weeks. Charlotte-area health officials encouraged people to contact doctors' offices or pharmacies, which also may also have more of the vaccine now. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press.
