Tax refunds are on their way according the NC Secretary of Revenue

This will be the last year they can expect me to pay TurboTax $19.95 to efile. What's the point?

Our refund, according to the web site was due to be paid March 5 (e-file was accepted by the state Feb. 5). I started calling March 12. They told me then that it was still being processed, they were running 2 weeks behind and to give it one more week. I called back on March 19, and the first person who answered the call couldn't tell me anything and forwarded me to a "level two tech" that person said it was pending but gave no reason why, said they would "investigate and call back." I never did hear back so I called March 24 and the first person couldn't say what was going on and forwarded me to someone else who then told me it was till being processed and should be deposited in 1-1/2 to 2 weeks. I explained what I was told on March 19, and she said that that wasn't true and it was still being processed, that they were running "a couple weeks behind." IF it shows up in 2 weeks, it will be 5 weeks late, taking 9 weeks instead of the 4 weeks given on their web site.
