Last month, John Maisenhelder was arrested on three counts of taking indecent liberties with a child as the result of a joint investigation between Wilmington police and New Hanover County deputies.
Monday, he was served with four additional counts of taking indecent liberties with a child.

The Wilmington Temple of Israel hosted a joint fundraiser at the Hannah Block USO building Saturday.
The event featured desserts by six celebrity chefs, live music, an abundance of art and a silent auction to benefit the Wilmington-based Full Belly Project, Phoenix Employment Ministries and United Jewish Communities.

A scaled down replica of the Vietnam Wall is ready for visitors in Wilmington. A dedication ceremony was held Thursday morning in Ogden Park, where the "Wall That Heals" is set up through the weekend.

Two people are still missing in an explosion at a meat products plant in Garner.
An apparent explosion and roof collapse at ConAgra Food, Inc. plant near Raleigh sent around twenty people to the hospital; mostly suffering from burns and smoke inhalation. At least five of them were seriously hurt.
