Over 1,800 UNCW students graduated on Sunday. In fact the university held 3 commencement ceremonies to accommodate everyone.

It's for the 16th annual "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive. Local letter carriers from the U.S Postal Service work with local food banks to help feed those who are hungry this mother's day.

A small group of community members came together to stop the violence. The Marshall family, lost a son and a brother. Robert Jr., was murdered in March, now, the Marshalls are trying to make the streets safe for their grandchildren.

This year the Cape Fear chapter celebrates a milestone: its one-hundredth anniversary. From disaster relief, to blood donations, the local chapter has left its mark.

Part of Carolina Beach Road is closed this afternoon, because of a fire at a junkyard. Heavy smoke is blanketing much of the area.
From the North, traffic is being diverted to Sanders Road. From the South, traffic is being directed onto Myrtle Grove Road.
