A high school band director is playing a sad song. Chance Bryant was fired Friday from his job at Whiteville High School.

Whiteville native Chester McGlockton will be inducted into SC Sports Hall of Fame

Whiteville has a rich history of producing outstanding athletes. Chester McGlockton is certainly close to the top of the list. In his playing days Chester clearly did his talking on the field. In fact he turned out to be a first round NFL draft pick.

UPDATE: Warrants issued in store clerk's murder

Warrants have been issued for three men believed to be responsible for a shooting at a Tabor City convenience store Sunday night. The Tabor City Police Department says the three men will face homicide and armed robbery charges in connection to last night's shooting.
