New Hanover County Planning and Zoning Supervisor Ben Andrea says the Atlanta-based Halpern Development Company withdrew its petition to rezone property for a grocery store in the Ogden MarketPlace. In February the company submitted the re-zoning petition to construct the first reported Publix in Wilmington. This month the company withdrew that petition. Andrea says he does not know why. Lt. Kevin Johnson with the Wilmington Police Department says two people are in the hospital after someone robbed a business on N. 4th St Saturday night.
