For some people, it takes them years to find their true passion life. That's not the case for Britt Harrison. The 24-year-old finds her joy in painting unique works of art. Among the nature in the backyard of the beach home where Harrison lives, one will find brush strokes and a young woman full of artistic expression.

The theater community took center stage Wednesday night for the StarNews Wilmington Theater Awards. Folks even got to walk the red carpet before heading to the main theater at Thalian Hall.

Wilmington's arts community honored late media personality and arts patron Donn Ansell this morning.
The Community Arts Center named its Lower Atrium Studio after Ansell for his contributions in saving the Cultural Resource Center, as well as his contributions to the artistic community in Wilmington.

Cape Fear Community College is one step closer to building its Humanities and Fine Arts Center downtown.
The school's board of trustees approved a plan to build the nearly 160,000 square foot facility across the street from CFCC's parking deck on North 3rd Street.

You may notice colorful swatches of yarn popping up in random places. These pops of art are taking over the world from London to Amsterdam to right here in the Port City. A group of local artists is trying to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary by yarn bombing things like light poles and parking meters.
