The Tony and Pulitzer Prize winning play 'Clybourne Park' previews this week at the Red Barn Studio in Wilmington for two weeks before moving to Thalian Hall. The two act play shows the struggle of a black family in the same house 50 years apart. Based on the classic 'A Raisin in the Sun' it is directed by Joy Gregory. Full story...

For more than thirty years, South Brunswick High School art teacher Katie O'Neil has been teaching her students through an artist's eyes. The Teacher of the Week uses art to break down barriers and cliques and to teach life lessons. One of her favorite lessons is to remind students when a piece breaks they should just say 'Oh well!' Happening this weekend is the 35th Annual North Carolina Festival by the Sea in Holden Beach. The two days of festivities features arts and crafts, music, contests and activities for the whole family. Saturday is the only day of the year you can walk across the Holden Beach bridge to get the best view of the island. For the more adventurous there will be balloon rides and for anglers there is the annual fishing tournament. Events start Saturday at 9 a.m. and go through Sunday afternoon. Full story...
