A medical examiner has confirmed the grisly discovery made by Wilmington Police of a body buried in the yard at 1115 Cowan Street was Latricia Ana Scott, 24, a woman reported missing by her family on Wednesday night.

The Brunswick County Sheriff's Office is asking for help finding a man missing since Sunday.
Investigators say Chad Brumley, 36, was last seen in the Leland area. His sister last talked to him by phone Sunday.

Family and friends held a balloon vigil in honor of Al'Quon Flowers today to show they are still desperate for answers. Each of the orange and yellow balloons had custom messages to Flowers or anyone who might have answers who might find one of the balloons.

A close friend of the family tells us that Gavin Lane apparently committed suicide. His body was found near his home in Shallotte. We usually don't report on suicides, but since we did a story about Lane missing, it only makes sense to let viewers know he was found.

The mother of a Wilmington teen missing for two weeks has come to town looking for help finding him. Al'Quon Flowers, 18, went missing July 18, and family and friends say they still have no idea where he is or if he is even alive.
