The Town of Wrightsville Beach Board of Aldermen held a town meeting tonight looking for some answers on a police department investigation. The board also discussed the future of Crystal Pier.

We told you this week that investigations into three Wrightsville Beach Police officers have led to them being placed on administrative leave. Thursday the Board of Aldermen held a special meeting and went into closed session to discuss the personnel matter. We spoke with Police Chief Daniel House afterwards about the progression of the investigations and the next step in dealing with the officers.

A Wrightsville Beach couple says Progress Energy owes them thousands of dollars after a project to put in new lines went wrong. The couple claims the drilling hit a water line, and they were forced to pay to have it fixed. A waterline leak and thousands of dollars later, Brooke and Jeff Richardson want Progress Energy to own up to its mistake.

A group of skateboarders on Wrightsville Beach have been pushing the town for a skate park for quite some time. They are now one step closer as the Board of Aldermen decided Thursday night to allow them to work out details and further questions with the town staff.
