Ocean Isle Beach golf course worker killed

A maintenance worker at an Ocean Isle Beach golf course has died after the equipment he was driving went into some water on the course. Multiple media outlets reported that 46-year-old Jose Morales of Calabash died when the maintenance equipment he was driving went into the water at the Tiger's Eye golf course late last week.

Couple charged with restaurant break-in, robbery

A Brunswick County couple is charged with breaking into and robbing a Calabash restaurant earlier this month. Brunswick County Sheriff's detectives say James Alan Howarth, 36, and Tina Louise Watts, 35, of Calabash broking into the Seafood Hut Nov. 8.
