Buzz Peterson's family on the road again

videoFor the last four years Buzz Peterson has been a Wilmington resident. As of Thursday that's no longer the case. The former UNCW men's head basketball coach moved his family to the Charlotte area. Peterson will be working with the NBA Charlotte Hornets down the road. This means his son, Rob, will not be playing for Laney in the upcoming basketball season.

Bobcats officially become Hornets in Charlotte

The Charlotte Hornets are back. The NBA franchise announced Tuesday they have officially changed the name back to the Hornets after 10 years of being known as the Bobcats.

videoThe pairings are set for the CAA Men's Basketball Championship in Baltimore. Buzz Peterson's squad will open against Hofstra on Friday in the unofficial play-in game. The seven other CAA teams won't hit the court until Saturday. The Region X Men's Basketball Championship also begins on Friday. Brunswick Community College is the host school. Plus more!

It's been a season of adversity for the Ashley girls basketball team, but the Screamin' Eagles keep on winning.

NC State made offers to two of the Trinity players recently. UNC and Duke both have their eyes on Trinity players as well.
