WILMINGTON -- Two Wilmington teens facing murder charges in connection with a fatal drive-by shooting were in court Monday.
Seventeen-year-old Anthony Jackson and 16-year-old Teshon Lane were arrested for the shooting death of Darius Green.
Police say the two were headed westbound down the 4100 block of Princess Place Drive in a black SUV when someone inside the SUV opened fire, hitting Green.
Green later died at the hospital.

After watching this story progress am glad to say that I have moved away from Wilmington, NC. It is not a safe place for anyone anymore. Everyone has a comment on what these boys where probably doing, what should be done to them, or who is to blame. Well the only people that should be blamed are the ones who just sat by and watched and that includes everyone who responded to this story. What are you doing to keep your community safe? What type of activities do you have that will give young people a safe place to go? You all are doing absolutely NOTHING. Can you name anything in the Wilmington that is for the ages of 13-18? The only thing available is sex, drugs, drinking, gang violence, and becoming and an adult at an early age. Some people might say go get a job or go take care of their responsibilities. Let’s face it this generation needs a lot of coaching when it comes to progressing towards their futures. People are so busy trying to punish someone, when they could have easily stopped the problem from happening in the first place. Parents are becoming younger and younger and you expect them to be pro's when it comes to maintaining their children. Heck, some of them are still children themselves. If they did not own the car the owner should be charged for letting them drive it. It is illegal to drive a car if you do not have your own insurance. You can not even get a license w/o showing proof of insurance.

The reason your two daughters had to wait until they could afford car insurance is probably because your family pays for it's food, clothing, housing and medical insurance out of pocket. I would be willing to bet that those two killers were no more than society leeches, raised on Welfare, food stamps, WIC and government housing. Any wages or monies earned in the family goes towards a nice car, stupid looking clothes, jewelry and a big screen TV.

i know both of the boys personally who killed Darrius and there is a good chance that it is gang related. I knew those two would end up in prison sooner or later.. they both are being raised by single mothers but they are good people.....the mothers knew that their sons was out there and they having been seeking help and of course they felt as if they were not receiving help....Teshon was in the custody of DSS so what does that tell you...Anthony just did as he pleased and even with the pleas of their mother the boys still did as they wished........these boys thought that they could get away with this and then seeing them in court yesterday with their pitiful looks, all i could do is shake my head because their looks did nothing for me....they should get the max and hopefully it is life without parole..............my heart goes to the mothers of these two and Darius family
