Thief leaves cell phone at scene

GREENSBORO (AP) -- Police say they tracked down a young man accused of robbing a gas station using a knife as a weapon because of a cell phone left at the scene. WSJS News reports today that after the robbery Saturday night, police used telephone records to track down the suspect and arrest him on Sunday. The News & Record of Greensboro reports that police charged 19-year-old Shawn Johnson with armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon. Bond information wasn't available immediately. Einstein has been one-upped

Go to and look for the video about the thief leaving his resume. Yes, some guy in Georgia filled out a job application at a convenience store, then decided to rob it. You guessed it! He left the application behind, containing his real name and address. When police WALKED to his apartment house NEXT DOOR and arrested him, they found out that the cell phone he'd been using for the past few days had been stolen in another robbery earlier in the week.

My nomination.....

I hereby nominate Shawn Johnson as a candidate to win an award on the "Dumb Crook News Hour". I wish all of the criminals out there had his intelligence!!!!
