Wilmington - A narcotic investigation that ended last Thursday culminated with the arrest of two Wilmington residents and the seizure of 43 bags of Heroin.
Detectives with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Vice and Narcotic Division initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Market Street and Eastwood Road. The two suspects inside the vehicle were the target of an ongoing investigation regarding the sale of heroin. Alishia Nicole Jacobs, 23, and Amord Demetrius Jacobs, 20, both of 219 S. Kerr Avenue, were found in possession of 43 bags of heroin and 3 ½ ounces of marijuana. Detectives also located a digital scale and other packaging used in the sale and distribution of narcotics. The heroin, valued at $1700.00, was stamped with “Juice Man”.
Alishia Nicole Jacobs was charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver, two counts of maintaining a vehicle for drugs, selling schedule 1 narcotics, conspiracy drugs, possession of marijuana, manufacturing controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Alishia was released from the New Hanover County Detention Facility, on Friday, after posting a $30,000 secured bond.
Amord Demetrius Jacobs was charged with two counts of possessing marijuana, manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of possession with intent to manufacturer sell and deliver, two counts of maintaining a vehicle for drugs, conspiracy drugs and providing fictitious information to a law enforcement officer. Amord was also served with an outstanding warrant for failing to appear on previous narcotic charges. Amord Jacobs was released from the New Hanover County Detention Facility, on Friday, after posting a $75,200 secured bond.
Although they share the name last name and address, they are not related.
