Troubleshooters: Update on identity theft victim

In tonight's troubleshooters report, an update on a Brunswick County man who was the victim of criminal identity theft.

John Freeman was paralyzed in the hospital at the time someone got a speeding ticket in his name in Granville County.

His car insurance premiums sky rocketed, because of the points on his license.

Despite many attempts to get the issue resolved, Mr. Freeman wasn't having any luck until we got involved.

It took Ann McAdams several months and about a dozen phone calls, but a judge in Granville County finally threw the case out and cleared Mr. Freeman's driving record, since he obviously wasn't the one caught speeding.
