Shooting for a new medical drama pilot for CBS is underway in our area. Extras were on set at the Winnabow Airport today. For many of them it was the second day of shooting.
The pilot centers around a medical team traveling the country to help people in crisis. Oscar winner Sissy Spacek is the latest big name to join the cast of the pilot. She's slated to play the lead doctor.
Work for film extras has been scarce recently, so they welcomed the chance to be a part of this pilot.
"There just hasn't been a lot of big shoots in a couple years," Jon Rosenthao said. "I don't think there's been a movie in a year or two. They say that tax cut is gonna bring it back. I haven't seen evidence of that yet, so it's."
Sources on the set say if the pilot gets picked up, around 300 extras would be needed.
