Two men charged with manufacturing and selling heroin made their first court appearance Wednesday.

Police say Altime Coulter and Anthony Fashion were caught with 160 bags of ready-to-sell heroin and fifty grams of unprocessed heroin.

New Hanover County detectives also seized manufacturing equipment, including a coffee grinder, and a "thumbs up" stamp the men allegedly used to mark their drugs.

"Heroin coming into our county and our city, is just unacceptable and when you get the uncut or unprocessed, and you've got a couple of guys in a motel room, mixing it, all that is just a mixture for disaster,” said NHC Sheriff Ed McMahon.

Detectives believe the two men may have delivered large amounts of heroin from New York to New Hanover County in the past.

Both men are in the New Hanover County jail under a $100,000 secured bond.

Drugs & Frog

wow ! now that is a lot of dope. glade it's gone. As for "Frog" Strickland, I wonder why he and R.C.Soles haven't been in the news lately.

$100,000 Bond

Surely you jest. These guys had a significant quantity of heroin ready to put on the streets.

They face a modest secured bond.

In Tabor City, "Frog" Strickland faces a MILLION dollar bond.

Something seems to be out of proportion here.
