Two people reported dead in NC house fire

ELLENBORO, N.C. -- Two people have died in a house fire in western North Carolina. Multiple media outlets reported the fire was reported about 3:15 a.m. Wednesday at a house near Ellenboro in Rutherford County. Sheriff's Sgt. Forrest Hollifield says investigators are at the scene. The house was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. The names of the victims have not been released. Hollifield says a third person was transported to the hospital with injuries.
