UNC Wilmington students gathered on campus Wednesday for a special ceremony to honor student veterans. The uncw trumpet studio performed the national anthem, and members of the military presented the colors in honor of our American military heroes and those on campus who have served. Students also talked about the history of Veterans Day. "This ceremony is great because it kind of shares with the University all the veterans that are on campus, and lets everybody know how big the veteran population is here on uncw," said UNCW Veterans Club President Bryce McLaughlin. McLaughlin says UNCW has at least 350 veterans on campus. The university earned a spot on GI Jobs magazine's list of military friendly schools.
