UNCW is pleased with donations, named one of best colleges

Despite the economic downturn, people still seem inclined to give to their alma mater. That is the case for UNC Wilmington. The school received $11.2 million in donations. That is 19 percent lower than last year, but still much more than university officials expected. The Princeton Review has once again named UNCW one of the best colleges and universities in the southeast. This is the 6th year in a row the school has made the list. The Princeton Review takes into account the universities' academic programs, and results of student surveys.

Yeah, UNCW is pleased w/

Yeah, UNCW is pleased w/ the donations, & building is going on everywhere around campus, but just look at the rank & file staff employee. Insurance is going up, no raise this year, took away some money from last year, complete uncertainty about our jobs, and almost NO feedback from the queen and her princes over in Alderman Hall, who, by the way probably aren't worried about a thing. THEIR jobs aren't on the line, THEIR hours aren't in danger of being cut. When times were good the rank & file were ignored, when times are rough we're the FIRST to suffer. Just call me: 'fed up & looking for another job'....
