Undocumented immigrants still banned from NC Community Colleges

The developers and local business owners who employ illegals have our politicians in their back pockets. Here they are cutting corners again on the taxpayer's back. Unless people start voting differently and speaking up as working class citizens, the door will be opened even wider and the vocational options made even grander on the American citizen's dime to illegals, not so much to benefit the illegals but to benefit the fat cats using cheap labor on the sly. I wouldn't find it surprising in the least if this ban were lifted, so that more illegals could be used cheaply in a even wider variety of jobs than they are in now! Then you won't just be seeing this exploitation limited to the farm and construction sites anymore, the paid-under-the-table illegals will be working on your A/C, your car, who knows? The opportunities would be unlimited if this decision were reversed. There's no need to outsource jobs overseas if the big guys can get the politicians to bend the rules locally. Take a day off from work and vote well, or lose your job...

You would think that this would be a "no-brainer". These people are in this Country illegally!!!!! If the government is truly interested in rounding up and deporting illegals, what better chance than when these people are in line to register for FREE education (paid for by legal citizens/taxpayers) or at the Social Security offices, Welfare offices or Hospital emergency rooms. These are places they get freebies on our dime!!! Get real. Illegals are no longer hiding and sneaking around. They're next to you in lines everywhere. COME ON FOLKS. When will this financial burden illegals cause be taken off the hardworking and honest taxpayers of this Great Country.

I can understand why tax paying citizens of this country do not want to pay the college tuition of citizens from another country, who by the way are living here illegally. I am surprised that our state would consider such a use of tax dollars.
I have one question. Is there a foreign country where Americans can count on acceptance to a state college? Is there a country who will use their tax dollars to educate Americans living illegally in their country? Americans should know of such an opportunity.

The citizens of the United States need to WAKE up! When you come here illegally you are breaking the law. We need to take care of US citizens first, and then worry about the illegals. We already pay for them to have all of their babies here and on top of that we give their children Medicaid. How do you like your tax money going to that? Let's think about all of the US citizens who are uninsured and have to take out student loans. Why should we give people who sneak into this country anything other than a free ticket home? If you want free education go bug your own countries government. When are our elected officials going to do something about this problem?

I don't understand why this is even an issue. They are not supposed to be here. They are criminals. Why should they get ANY benefits that tax paying Americans provide?

I have no problem if anyone lives or goes to school in my community as long as they pay their way. I am sick of being behind someone at the grocery store and people of all races and back grounds pulls out their EBT card while I am trying to figure out what I have to put back because I don't have enough money.If we were truly poor we'd live and eat like KINGS.
I am a student at CFCC and I do not qualify for grants because I am married to my "baby's daddy" and I work. Four classes away from graduation and I can only afford to take 2.
If I go to Central America, will their government pay my way?

CFCC student Don Harris said, "I believe you should be a legal citizen or have your green card, working, paying taxes just like all of us do to come to a state college."

They're illegal aliens and they are breaking our laws by being here.They take our jobs, our social services that should be reserved for citizens and with them comes more crime and gangs.

They shouldn't be allowed to take a place in school period.

I am glad they wont allow undocumented immigrants to enroll. Now if we could only get our government to follow suit and find those who are undocumented and send them back home.

It wouldn't be so bad but those who are here illegally are those who think WE should change OUR ways to meet THEIR needs. When they come in legally, and learn how to speak English and make an effort to assimilate to our lifestyle then I will give them the respect, education, and privileges they have EARNED!! Until then, I say go back across the boarder or find the boat you came in on and go home!!!
