There is an update on a story we first brought you earlier this year regarding Senator Julia Boseman's custody battle over her son.

Ms. Boseman's ex domestic partner, Melissa Jarrell, hired Marc Benson to work as a private investigator, following the Senator around Raleigh. He shot video of Ms. Boseman hiring a baby sitter to watch her son, which was a violation of their child custody agreement.

It turns out Marc Benson, who is also the host of Blue Line Radio, did not have the proper license to work on that case. During a hearing this week in Raleigh, he was reprimanded by a state regulatory board for private investigators.

WWAY contacted Senator Boseman for comment. She said she hopes the state keeps a closer eye on Mr. Benson in the future. WWAY has not been able to reach Marc Benson.
