Update on DirecTV complaint

WWAY has an update on one former DirecTV customer's battle. John Jacovino canceled his DirecTV service after he said the company failed to provide him with the high definition services they promised. Jacovino was charged the cancellation fee, appealed, and has now been told the company will not refund the more than $300 charge. He has filed a complaint with the North Carolina Consumer Protection Division and said he will go to small claims court if necessary.

I also signed up for hdtv/dvr service. The installer was unable to install dvr so he installed hdtv. I did not receive any local hd channels.I called to cancell service within 24 hours. Directv made an unauthorized charge of $477.00 to my checking account without billing me.

I am with the OTHER

I am with the OTHER satellite company and they dont have their junk together either. Its all over priced. My neighbor is with direct tv, they actually switched from the other to Direct and they dont get what they paid for either. This includes their second box they were suppose to get. The customer service people were unwilling to help them either..........

Beware!! neither Dish nor Direct TV offer local HD service

The customer no service agents with both services will try to mislead you, they did me. By not offering our local stations in HD means you get no NBC,CBS,FOX,ABC and others in HD. They do offer this in larger markets, but not here. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!
