DURHAM, N.C. -- The U.S. surgeon general is among those participating in a summit about how to improve the health of Durham residents.
The Herald-Sun of Durham reported that U.S. Surgeon General Regina Benjamin will speak Monday at the Durham Health Summit at the Durham Marriott Convention Center. Nearly 500 residents and community leaders are expected to attend.
The discussion topics will include the reports from 10 teams that spent the past year mapping the health needs of residents and analyzing that data.
