Beth Stevenson is a general assignment reporter and photographer for WWAY. She joined the NewsChannel Three team in January of 2007.
Beth is no stranger to coastal North Carolina. She was born and raised in New Bern. Beth went to Elon University in Burlington, N.C., to study broadcast and corporate communications. During college she completed four different internships including stints at the Atlantic Coast
Conference and WGHP in High Point.
In August 2005, Beth moved to Chicago to receive her master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Northwestern University. She reported, anchored and produced for WYCC, the public station in Chicago. She even wrote news stories for Chicago-area newspapers. As part of her master’s
program, Beth acted as a Washington, D.C. correspondent for stations in W.V. and L.A. She even landed an interview with the longest serving senator in United States History.
Beth enjoys reading, traveling and cheering on her favorite baseball team, the Atlanta Braves. She’s traveled to Ireland and Ghana, and hopes to visit Greece and Russia.
Beth has one sister and brother-in-law who live in Memphis. Her parents still live in New Bern with her other siblings, two dogs and two cats.
