About Me

Katelyn Hackett joined the WWAY team in Feb. 2011 as producer of Good Morning Carolina. A native of Chesapeake, VA, Katelyn attended Longwood, where she earned a degree in Organizational Communications and Public Relations with a minor in International Relations.

Katelyn and her fiance Dave live in Wilmington. Having grown up along the Atlantic coast, Katelyn loves being near the beaches of southeastern North Carolina. In fact she says her hobbies are the beach, family, friends, wedding planning and reality TV.
