About Me

Growing up in a Navy family, Katie has lived in many different places, but calls Chesapeake, VA home. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies and minor in Film from Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA, Katie made her way down to Wilmington to work for WWAY as a General Assignment Reporter.

Friends and family are the most important to Katie. She is the oldest of five children, so she has always had to work in a team. Her parents have always been extremely supportive and continually encourage her to follow her dreams. Katie was a member of the Lambda Epsilon chapter of Phi Mu Fraternity at CNU, as well as the anchor for the university television program "CNU TV".

When Katie is not working she loves playing with her dogs Gracie and Sperry, watching "The Office" and "Mad Men", and visiting all the wonderful places Wilmington has to offer.
