About Me

Originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee, Stephanie loves living near the Carolina coast and working for NewsChannel 3.

She joined WWAY in February 2007 and covers the health stories that affect your life. Since joining WWAY in February of 2007 she has received two state health reporting excellence awards, an award for an in depth education report and a state media award.

Before moving to Wilmington, Stephanie graduated with honors from Middle Tennessee State University with a B.S. in Electronic Media Journalism and a double minor in speech and political science. While attending MTSU, Stephanie was a sports anchor for the college-run station MTTV. She began her broadcast journalism career at WCJB in Florida, working in the newsroom and in production.

Stephanie loves North Carolina, but occasionally misses the 60 acre Tennessee farm she grew up on.

When Stephanie has a long weekend off, you can bet she’s in Chattanooga riding her family’s horses.

In her free time, you can find Stephanie working out or on the beach.
