About Me

Tim joined the WWAY news team in June 2006.

"I was born to do this, I love it, reporting allows me to know a little about a lot of things."

I am from Roxboro, North Carolina (just north of Raleigh-Durham). I am a proud graduate of Winston-Salem State University (HBCU). I have a B.A in Mass Communications. In college, I wrote for the campus paper, reported and anchored for the university’s television and radio stations.

I’m a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and enjoy connecting with other minorities in the business.

In my free time, I like to attend church. My favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13. I love to travel. I’ve toured places like London, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Mexico and Costa Rica. Lately my travels are visits home to see friends, family and spoil my niece and nephew Danani' (Duh-nah-nee) and Joshua."

I’m impressed and intrigued by Wilmington’s charm and culture. I’m happy to call southeastern North Carolina home.

I’m a general assignment reporter so from day-to-day I cover a range of stories.
