Vehicle flipped after running a red light

A two-car accident on New Centre Drive flipped one car upside down this morning. According to Wilmington police, a Jeep ran a red light at the intersection of New Centre and Market streets. Another SUV traveling across Market Street hit the Jeep, flipping it. Luckily, the driver of the Jeep and her two children were wearing their seatbelts, and managed to get out safely. They were transported to New Hanover Medical as a precaution. The driver of the Jeep was charged with running a red light, and driving with no insurance. The driver of the other SUV was not injured.

running red light

She ran a red light with 2 children in the car and was out driving without insurance! What a winner!!! People like her are why most of us have to pay extra for uninsured motorist insurance.

Never heard of red light

Never heard of red light runners driving without insurance in Wilmington before ;-) Maybe they should continue with Operation Firecracker 24/7 and rack up the offenders!!!
