Vets evaluate seized horses

Evaluations from a veterinarian conclude that one of the malnourished horses seized last week in Hampstead has cancer and needs to be euthanized. Kathy Lewis, from the Topsail Humane Society, said they are still waiting for test results on the other nine horses. The Pender County Sheriff's Office seized the animals last week. The owners were charged with animal cruelty.

animal cruelty

thank goodness that someone is doing something about animal cruelty. I called the humane society to a neighbors house 3 different times, and they did nothing. the dog had a chain around his neck and rubbed raw, and his living conditions were horrid. they told me if they saw food and water there was nothing they could do. I'm glad someone has the guts to do something about it

If the sheriffs dept took the other horses, are they up for adoption? My brother has the biggest Horse training and care taking facilty on the east coast, and has rescued many from cruelty! Maybe you can help me with the question, and hopefully the 9 other horses.

Horse adoption

There are other horses in need of adoption. What's the name of your brother's facility
