FIRST ON 3: Census 2010 Update - ILM, RDU & CLT showed the most growth; Hispanics 8% of state population
Figures reported Wednesday by the U.S. Census Bureau show that North Carolina's overall population jumped more than 18 percent from 2000 to 2010 and now totals more than 9.5 million. Much of the growth has come in areas around Charlotte, Raleigh and Wilmington.
