The Rant: May 10, 2011

This weekend's murder has again raised the issue of youth violence, especially among young black men.
One of our interns here at WWAY knew the victim and others who have been involved in some of the violence in our area over the last year. Greg Williams shares his perspective in tonight's edition of The Rant.

The attitude that killing

has no meaning other than revenge did not start the night before last. This attitude comes from their raising (or lack of ) at home. I think it's America's fault for letting the welfare system become a household work to some. Welfare, HUD, ect. were ment to be temporary support for a family to get back on their feet, but it has turned into a lifestyle. Love, care and support starts at home, and if you do not get it there, you go to the street to get it. When families don't care, how can their children.
