Bladen County wildfire destroys homes; burns 1,300 acres

Some of the attention involving wildfires in our area has now shifted to Bladen County. Work crews for North Carolina Forest Services are trying to contain a fire that is believed to have started because of lightning that struck Monday night. That fire has now burned a large section of land near White Oak and has destroyed at least three homes.
