FIRST ON 3: Carolina Beach McDonald's workers say coworker has TB

The McDonald's on Pleasure Island is a very popular spot for locals and tourists alike. The bad news is employees at this location could be sick. WWAY has learned a foreign exchange student working at the restaurant may have tuberculosis. Now all employees there are being checked for the disease.

I know someone who works there, so I got worried and contacted the McD's number on their website. Believe it or not, McDonald's does NOT have an official policy regarding communicable diseases at their franchises. Decisions are left up to the owners of each store and the person I know was NOT tested or offered any medical attention whatsoever. And, yes, they were threatened with firings.
