tireless self promoter...

Richelle was my mentor teacher when I was student teaching and she was a horrible mentor who was disingenuous, bad at communication and, as inspiration to me, was constantly telling me how good of a teacher she was and how many awards she had won for teaching...My observation of her was that she was no better than a lot of other teachers at Laney, but, unlike the workmanlike teachers who were secure in their competency, Richelle was a tireless self promoter who needed constant validation and her ego nursed-Beyond that, her methods were pedestrian and she was not nearly as innovative as she thought she was...Believe me, by the time she retires she will have strong armed the school board into re-naming Laney after her...-

way to go!

i am so happy that mrs.d won this. Personally, if you ask me she should be winning "best teacher of a lifetime". Mrs. D. truly changed my life from the moment i stepped into her US. History class. She helped me find myself and gave me the currage that i thought i never had. she gave me the gift of a life time, the gift of teaching. it's because of her that im going to college to be a teacher. She changed my life and i want to be able to do the same for my kids. She loves her students, like they are all her children, she is one of the few teachers that ive had that cared if i've had a rough day, or if things at home weren't alright. she is truely the best teacher ever. She's always been there for me and still is.

It's about time!

It's about time! I love this lady! Mrs. Dombroski had a huge influence on my life, and helped fuel a love for this counrty that she'll never know. I will always remember her for the love she had for her students. She wanted to see them succeed in life. She touched my life as a young lost 16 year old girl in ways that still impact me today. I hope to pass that passion for learning and love of this country on to my children. Congrats Mrs. Dombroski, you are one very special educator! You'll always be #1 on my favorite teacher list!
