ONLY ON 3: Congressman says he's too busy for voters in New Hanover, Pender

When voters in Pender County and parts of New Hanover County go to the polls, they may be surprised by who they're voting for for Congress. The area is now part of the 3rd Congressional District, but incumbent Rep. Walter Jones has spent little time in his new territory.

Walter Jones absence from District 3

I don't know why this would be a surprise to the voters in the new parts of District 3, Mr. Jones does not attend any GOP County Conventions and in fact, during the recent District 3 GOP convention, including representatives of his party from 23 counties in the district, Mr. Jones neither attended, sent a representative, nor acknowledged the gathering. Time for a change in representation for the district.

This is disgraceful of

This is disgraceful of Walter Jones. Too busy to even campaign? Does he think he's entitled to the seat? My Representative has to earn my vote. Frank Palombo has been here several times and is clearly working hard to get to know the voters in Wilmington and I appreciate that. These career politicians in Washington have a sense of entitlement which I find nauseating. I will vote for Frank Palombo on Tuesday.
