NCAA bans UNCW men's basketball team from postseason play

On Wednesday the UNCW men's basketball team received news they didn't want to hear. The UNCW men’s basketball team will not be allowed to compete in postseason play in the 2012-13 season due to low Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores. The NCAA made that announcement on Wednesday.
