Big Talker FM fires morning show host
If you listen to the Big Talker FM, don't be surprised in the morning when you don't hear Curtis Wright. The station cut him loose Thursday morning. I don't know what occured behind the scenes but I do know it sounds like pressure is being applied from the new FCC czar that Obama appointed. Next will be Neil Bortz and S. Hannity as they are also on this station.
Maybe some local political pressure?

Love him or hate him, you can't deny the facts: Curtis Wright built that show and its following. Trust me - people didn't tune in to listen to Joe Catenacci mis-pronounce words in the news, or Peanut and Davey discuss daddy's feet.
In fact, it may have been Curtis' success that was his downfall. Life is great when everyone else thinks you're a star. Things get really bad when you start believing it.
So I don't think it's fair to call him pompous. He simply forgot that if you climb too far, too fast, you can lose your grip and face a long fall back down.

Just when I had firmly blocked their nonsense out, you bring it back. In dash 6 cd changer and Sirius satellite radio for me. It drives me bonkers to ride with somebody that doesn't have satellite and to hear all the "cute" commercials. Do they really think that will bring in business? I guess so since they still do them.
