The courthouse came alive in Whiteville Saturday morning for a ceremony that was geared toward the recognition of Confederate veterans.

Freedom to be Proud

Why can't each & every person take Pride in their Family heritage without someone always having to bring up Race & Hatred? There are so many people in the World now, who are "Fueling the Fires" of Hatred and they want to take the whole Country with them!!! Let us be Proud of our Past & give others the same "RESPECT"!!!! God Bless the USA!!!!!!

Would the reaction be the same if it were Nazi Germans marching to celebrate their heritage. Yes this is your heritage but it was a past that you really should not be proud of. When putting it in perpesctive, it was treason. Use your weapons to fight for justice not to defend a way of life that promotes hatred and gives one race a false sense of superiority. Then celebrate out of love of unity and then you can really rejoice!
