In case you haven't been in

In case you haven't been in a middle school for any length of time recently, it is not just the teachers, just the principals, just the students that make or break a school. They have had four principals in the last nine years there, and teacher turn-over is tremendously high. With all the petty and ridiculous limitations set on everything from teacher numbers to periodic mandatory assessments on material students have not even learned yet to dress codes, there is little attention left for true, quality cumulative instruction. While there are changes that need to be made at Virgo, very few of the staff and student body are not working hard to make everyone successful. Wilmington is set up for inequity in education, and Virgo is doing its best to overcome that and level the playing field for its students. If you haven't been there, you don't have a clue what you are talking about.

The school board needs to go

The school board needs to go to that hole they call a school and fire just about every one there. And eevery one needs to lok at it this way that school recieves a lot of funding alot b/c of where it is located, and for that stupid principal not to get it together then she needs to be fired.I understand not making the standards your first year but come on that school has not met the standards ini HOW maney YEARS....The school board needs to reacess the teachers and the principals b/c obiviously they can not get it together.I think the children that fail all of that should fall back on the teachers and the adminstration. And to wait until the last 8 weeks of school to start enforcing the EOG's.Come on school board get off of your over paid lazy butts and find out what the problem is....FIRE the principal...reacess the staff.
