Fighting for animal rights

I dont get this they can KILL these animals like this but if we have ours on a runner or tied up because they are outside then we get a $250.00 to $500.00 fine. Or if our dog goes out of our yard to someone elses then they pick the dog up and fine us outrages amount of money.So what gives these people the right to KILL like they are doing but to dictate to us how our animals are to be cared for.And yes I am saying this from experience.I had 2 dogs one was a Chow,German Shepard mix I had her fixed and up to date on all of her shots,and we had a full blooded registered Siberian Husky and yes she was also up to date on all of her shots and we had to let both of my dogs go to my mothers house and live b/c she lives in the country. I do not live in the city but I had to pay taxes on my dogs,I had to registered both of them and the list goes on adn these people told me that my animals could not even be on a runner while outside that they had to be in a fenced in yard and that I do not have.But my animals are better off in the country.But the nerve of these people to dictate to us,and to KILL them the way they do.You know what New Hanover County HS if people are going to have an animal you should stay out of it and try to fix the way YOU handle the animals.

Neither the use of gas chambers nor the use of lethal drugs (Euthanasia by Injection (EBI)) is the real solution. It's just a band-aid for larger problems: the lack of spaying and neutering of companion animals; people adopting the "wrong" pet for their lifestyle or the ages/interests of their children; and the "disposable" mindset of people who want perfect pets without any behavioral or health issues--ever--or thinking of them as property and not part of the family. Even if all that changes, we'll most likely still have to deal with animals that get lost and some owner turn-ins. That said, the very least we can do for those unfortunate animals who are destined to die is to deliver a quick and painless death. EBI does just that--and it doesn't harm humans in the process. Besides, the Humane Society of the United States, the American Veterinay Medical Association, the American Humane Association, and millions of vets can't all be wrong.

...is not the biggest problem as stated by Jean McNeil. No, it's not the biggest problem, but we can certainly make sure that the animal is put down in a humane way instead of the gas chamber! Come on Jean - get with the program!
