Film industry looking for bigger tax incentives from North Carolina

This is not a great time to be looking for a bigger tax break from the cash-strapped state of North Carolina, but that's exactly what our film industry is doing. They say they have to in order to stay competitive.

Urgent need!!

There is an urgent need to boost our incentives for the filming industry. When a film has a 20 Million dollar budget it brings close to 90% of that budget right here to NC. It is not a loss on NC's part it is a dramatic gain. GA has anywhere from 30 to 40 films scheduled to film there this year. It's simple math what's 35 x 20? We are talking almost a billion dollars dumped into our local economy. Sounds good to me...
