Issues with child support payments

On average, parents who were arrested for unpaid child support last year owed just over $2,000. But one mother said she's owed more than 10 times that amount, and the father of her child has already been released from jail.

i was in brunswick co jail last year for child support i owed $1600 because i went to prison for [dwi]1yr but state law said that because i was in the [doc]no child support could be taken [that is what they told my wife who has cp ] i can not give my name because i was a trustee there when 2 people where KILLED in the jail i know the officre who did it and he makes it a joke he moved but is still in law enforcement i do think we should support our children and i do i have two kids liveing at home and pay support on 3 more one of witch HASNOT BEEN PROVED MINE no blood or dna test eventhough i offered to pay for the test that being sayed i saw people who whhere $60000.behind bond set at $1000. but mine was $1600. all that i was behind after 5 months and my wife almost dying i got out for $600.the dss workers and judge [jolly] who does what dss says look at all the cases this county does what they want childsupport is a 6 mo sentence but people have been in that jail 2 yearsi dont like what ms. brown has to go through to get her support its not right he is a dead beat dad but some of us are not if anyone wants to know whats going on there just ask ill look back mon 11-2-09
