What makes a parent uppity? Being Concerned????

This is in response to the earlier comment on the "uppity parents at Central Middle School". I have a high deal of respect for law enforcement as they have a job to do, public safety. My job, as a parent, is to to protect MY children. Does being a caring and concerned parent make someone "uppity"? I do no think so. However, not protecting your child from harm is legally known to be neglect!
