Leland candidates talk about the future of the town

Leland is a hub of growth and development in Brunswick County, the fastest growing county in the state. The election for mayor next month could go a long way to shaping the town's future.

Leland Candidates Do Not Do Their Homework

Neither Frank Bullara nor Bob Boynton attended either of the meetings held on October 14 and October 28 by the Wilmington Urban Area MPO Advisory Committee at which the issue of the Cape Fear Skyway Bridge was debated. At the Oct. 28 meeting, Mayor Futch made a presentation. I have attended both meetings. None of the other candidates for town council have attended. These people are ill-informed and do not do their homework. Yet, they want to be elected mayor of a town that is at a critical juncture in its future development. Voters, be very careful.
