Story on Byron DeLear going to Israel/Palestine

Byron DeLear is a wonderful statesman and we will be lucky to have him in Congress some day. Thank you for this informative story. It's so rare to see a Palestinian-American on the air, and footage of Palestinian victims. Americans desperately need to see that balance. And many of us desperately want, like Byron and Afil (sp?) want to do something because it is so unbearable to watch the deaths without acting or speaking out. So I am grateful they are speaking. The end of the story was depressing: I have to say that the announcer made it sound like the "company line" of the American mainstream media is this message: there won't be peace anytime soon, so it's safe to keep making money on war - war profiteers, keep your consumer confidence. I would like to see the media in general be less afraid to advocate strongly against war as either entertainment, news, or social solution. You don't have to be so even-handed about solutions that stop wars. Advocating for them, or letting it be known that you'd like to, is fine with me. Why does it seem partisan to others? Just wondering. And the only conclusion I ever reach is, someone makes money from war and until they get their new business model in place, they don't want it frowned upon by the shows they sponsor. I know that seems cynical. Anyway - in that light, you are to be thanked tremendously for doing this story - wonderful.
