Malpass students to miss Christmas break

The holiday break for some Pender County students will not be as long as many hoped for.

yeah, it sucks. But according to the state students have to be in school for 180 days a year. In the late 90's, when I was in school, it seemed like every year we were making up days missed because of hurricanes. Atleast they are not making the students make up all of the days missed during the Christmas vacation, but instead spreading it out. If they had not used the Christmas vacation to make up days and just added the days to the end of the school year, I am quite sure people would have found reason to complain about that.
