Many gathered Sunday to mourn the death of Alton Corey Vann

Investigators continue to search for clues about who killed a 20-year-old man early Thursday morning in New Hanover County while friends and family cope with the loss.

I was a friend of Corey's and I miss him terribly. I am bewildered as to why there has not been any arrests in relation to his death. If the sheriff's department has such strong leads why are we not seeing any results? I miss him so much and myself and his family need closure. I was not able to be there for his funeral and I at least want to know who was responsible for taking him from us.

I am guessing this is you: DOC#1060344, DOB: 8/25/91, convicted Felon. I guess you weren't able to be at his funeral because you were in prison. Poor boy should have picked his friends better.......family, well..you can't help who your related to. What a horrible price to pay for being cool, gangsta, a homie, whatever you want to call it and drugs.
